The silver ghost known as the Mulloway is top of almost every East Coast fisherman’s favourite fish list. The Jewie is great eating, a tough fighter and tricky to find, leading to more bagels than an American bakery when targeting these much loved fish. They are separated into three categories, the baby “soapy jew” that is considered pretty poor on the chew, the “school jew” that goes from around 2-8kg and are better eating, better fighters and more impressive fish, but the fish over 8kg and up to even 50kg are the real trophy fish.
